Mosaic Hotel Old City -Special Category

Everything was perfect. The location , the facilities, the staff….. everything.

The hotel is in a typical building, located at the very heart of the old city. The staff is outstanding: friendly, helpful and striving to go the extra mile: definitively a 5-star service! Our room was also great: spacious, comfortable, clean and modernly equipped. Facilities were good (swimming pool, spa, and - for an extra fee - a very nice massage), only the fitness centre would definitively need a revamp!

The room was spacious and our beds comfy. We would have expect to find some spare pillows and blankets (it was pretty cold in Istanbul), which were provided on request. Upon our arrival, we have been offered a free upgrade to the suite room. However, we decided to stick to the triple room for the simple fact the three beds were ready and it was past 1am. The breakfast was yummy and freshly prepared, the freshly prepared Turkish bread is amazing. The staff was really helpful and professional. Special mention to the F&B manager, I forgot his name, is really professional, helpful and patient. He really took car of us, especially considering I have been sick for couple of days.

The hotel is good for families. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The location is great for the sights in the old town. The metro station is a minute away, tram about 5 minutes walk, Sulemaniye is 10 mins walk away, the grand bazaar about 20 minutes walk. Venturing out was very easy for the old town. The breakfast buffet had a large variety including an omelette station and a lady making fresh gozleme. Sercan and Mehmet helped us tremendously to navigate the city and arrange a taxi to the airport for reasonable local prices. The pool was good in the basement and free to use from midday to 6pm.

The rooms were very comfortable. The hotel is centrally located, and we could get around by foot or train. The staff were helpful and friendly. Great views of the city and key points of interest. The breakfast and coffee were really good compared to other stays in Turkiye.
